Summary
This article provides information on how to resolve issues with a disabled MyEducation BC account. MyEd accounts are often disabled when a user has entered an incorrect password too many times.

This article is intended to be used by NLPS staff.
Instructions
If you receive an error message ("Error Message: This account has been disabled") when attempting to login to MyEd, follow the following steps. See the screen shots below for visual cues on each of the individual steps :
- Click on the "I forgot my password" link
- Enter your MyEd Login ID in all lowercase letters
- Enter your SD68 email address in all lowercase letters
- Click "Continue"
- Enter the answer to the security question that you indicated when you set up your MyEd account
- Click "Submit"
- Note: After clicking "Submit," you will receive a temporary password via email.
- Return to the MyEd BC login screen and enter your Login ID
- Enter the temporary password that you received via email
- Click "Log On"
- A pop-up window will appear noting that your password has expired and that you need to create a new one. Click "OK"
- Enter your temporary password in the "Current Password" field
- Enter a new password in the "New Password" field
- When choosing a new password, please be sure to follow the password requirements that appear in the article below.
- Enter the same new password in the "Confirm New Password" field
- Click "OK"
Password Requirements
When choosing a new password, please refer to the following guidelines:
- Password must be a minimum of eight characters
- At least one number
- At least one capital and one lowercase letter
- At least one symbol that isn’t a letter or number

Can’t contain the word "password", your login name, your first name, middle name, last name, date of birth, personal id, or only sequential letters or numbers (eg. "123456789")
