Summary
Use this guide to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) with text message (SMS) or voice calls.
Audience
This article is intended to be used by NLPS staff.
Instructions
- Open a browser and sign-in to your SD68 account Security Info page at https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo.
- Click Add sign-in method.

- Select Phone, and click the Add button.

- Enter your phone number and select Call me, or Receive a code.

If you chose Receive a code:
- You will be sent a text message with a code.
- Enter this code within the prompt displayed on your screen, then click Next.

- You will receive a notification that the phone was registered successfully. Click Done, and you'll now be able to use text messages to authenticate your sign-in.

If you chose Call me:
- You will receive a notification that you will receive a call from Microsoft (855-330-8653).
- Listen to the phone call, then press the # key when prompted. Once complete, you'll be notified that the call was answered and the phone was registered successfully.

Note: If you encounter the following error before verification is completed:
Try registering with United States (+1) set as the country code.
